Associate’s Degree in Accounting

The Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) in Accounting or Banking and Finance provides foundational coursework for transfer to a bachelor’s program or entry into accounting and finance careers, with study options across business, accounting, management, marketing, and international trade.

Our Mission

Bergen Community College’s Accounting program equips students with the financial knowledge, analytical skills, and practical experience needed to succeed in today’s business world. Through coursework in areas such as financial and managerial accounting, taxation, and business fundamentals, students build a strong foundation for careers in accounting  or continued study at a four-year institution.

Led by experienced faculty and located near New York City, the program provides students with access to a dynamic business environment and valuable opportunities for professional growth. Whether entering the workforce or pursuing a bachelor’s degree, Bergen students graduate prepared to take the next step toward their career goals.
